Country Rock, Blues, and Folk Duo.

Chris and Lorin were raised close to Boston. In the beginning of 1970, they moved to the West Coast to pursue their music. In 1971, they opened for The Grateful Dead at their first gig in San Francisco.

Their first album, The Rowan Brothers, was issued on Columbia Records. It was critically acclaimed and it included such guests as Jerry Garcia and Bill Kreutzman of The Grateful Dead and it was co-produced by David Grisman.

Chris and Lorin have continued playing as a duo, with Peter Rowan joining them from time to time. Their project, Now and Then, was issued in 2004 on BOS Music. They also play regularly with David Gans in the Beatles tribute band Rubber Souldiers.
